Lo scorso 15 aprile un terremoto molto forte seguito da un numero considerevole di scosse di assestameto ha colpito il Kyegundo e il Kham, nell'est del Tibet. I media cinesi riportano che la massimo 600 persone siano morte, e i feriti ammontino a circa 10.000. I Tibetani contattati nell'area invece parlano di difre ben diverse: pare che i morti siano più di 4000.

Last 15 of April, a 6.9 magnitude earthquake followed by a number of powerful aftershocks struck in Kyegundo (spoken as Jyekundo) in Kham, eastern Tibet. At least 600 people are reported dead and more than 10,000 injured by Chinese & Western media; but Tibetans with contacts in the area have heard the death toll may be as high as 4,000.
